Thanks both!! My proctor didn't say nothing except for two times when she said me to fix the camera because she wasn't able to see my face while I was writing on the whiteboard. The only real problem is I was hoping to receive my official score for the mid of October, I guess that will be impossible

Yes, it is likely those very off-camera incidents that will be reviewed. If you are in the application process, you can still report the score and provide evidence of an official score at a later time. (I have worked with clients who took the exam one last time just before the deadline in a sort of Hail-Mary effort.)

Good luck.

Hi Stocactus7,

As has been said, GMAC is investigating your exam. Unfortunately, you just gotta hang tight and wait until you hear back from them. Hopefully, you have nothing to worry about and this will just be a formality. Once you hear word back from GMAC, feel free to provide an update.

Hi Stocactus7,

I assume that you're referring to the 730 Score that you have listed in your profile - and that you did not actually cheat on your Official GMAT. Even if there is a delay in the availability of your Official Score Report, you can (and should) still apply to the Schools that interest you as planned. It can often take Admissions Committees weeks (if not months) to decide who to invite to attend School - and the Committees likely won't even look at your Official Report until after they've decided to accept you (and at that point, the Report is really just viewed to confirm that the Score data you listed is correct).

Hey Stocactus7

Did you receive your official score? I got the same email today that my test has been subjected to administrative review.. with R2 approaching getting this kind of email is really frustrating.
Wondering how any days did it take for you to get your official score or you received it at all

Hey Stocactus7,

I also received an email today with the same body. The proctor didnt warn me regarding anything specific. I do remember slightly covering my face once but the proctor didnt ask me to do anything.

Bb,

I took it yesterday. I followed all rules and regulations and felt it went rather smoothly. So was a bit taken aback to see that it was flagged

Sorry about that… we’re you happy with the score? Was this your first attempt?

Sorry about all the questions, I’m just wondering what’s going on. I’m not sure how much help I’m actually offering 😢

Same with me too..the exam went clean , and now suddenly I get an email of being flagged ..where as my friends who used an on screen white board got results in 2 days ..I used a physical white board to solve. Is there any disadvantages of using a physical white board?deadlines are near and Iam anxious, can someone help with this on how to contact the gmac and how long will it take

Guys, weirdest thing happened. I asked the proctor if I could take a pic of the unofficial score and she said YES.

Now my exam got flagged.. I feel dumb, and I dont know what to do. I should not have considered that rodiculous proctor's info.

I dont know what to do, any tips?

Hi GuiCeitlin,

In the short term, all you can do is wait (and it might be a few days or even a couple of weeks before you hear back). That having been said, assuming the conversation that you had with the Proctor was recorded - you have a reasonable argument (and proof) for why you did what you did. It's also worth noting that you assume that your Exam was flagged because you took a picture of your Unofficial Score - but there could have been any number of other 'irregularities' with your Exam that were the actual cause. For now, this is all out of your hands, so you just have to wait to hear back. If you have not received word within a week, then you should plan to reach out to Customer Service and see what the status is.

This is the body of the email:

We are writing to inform you that your GMAT Online exam 289*****0 on September 29, 2021 has been flagged for administrative review.

At GMAC, we place a lot of value on the fairness and integrity of test results. Prior to releasing scores, additional quality control steps are sometimes necessary, to ensure the result is accurate and valid. This review can take as long as 20 business days.

We trust that you understand that only valid results are meaningful to the business schools that rely on these scores to admit students into their programs. Once this review has been completed, you will be contacted only if we have any questions concerning your scores. Otherwise you will receive an email that your results are available and can select schools / programs to send your scores.

If more than 20 business days has passed, and you have not heard from us or received your results, please contact us at

Sincerely,

Thanks so much for reporting back! That is still a while and 20 days is not optimal but good to hear it is resolved.
