quake TF (teamfortress) then to TFC (teamfortress classic) then to CS, while at the same time a big DOTA (wc3) player...

now i'm playing sc2 :P (well, on a long break right now 'cause I gotta study for my gmat and finish my essays)

hell yeah!!! it was probably the best game series from 3DO - still not sure why they spammed so many of those damn armymen games... 4 was ok but you could go solo with the commander... 5 was also ok... Do you know 6 is coming out next year? It is supposed to be a prequel to 5....

definitely man. I think I started with II, but I will say that III is still the best. I've played a little bit of IV and V.

I enjoy playing Fantasy RPGs, like Oblivion or Kings Bounty. Play on my Asus laptop. I just saw an Asus laptop with the new Nvidia 400 series graphics card. I'm thinking of upgrading. :)

I haven't turned on my 360 since I started studying seriously for the GMAT (early summer) except to watch Netflix. Last games I got into were Modern Warfare 2 and Bad Company 2.

meh. I dont mind the new units so much as I do the changes they've made. Some for the good, some for the worse. Like I like how you can now scroll down to a more "3D" view rather than just being a bird's eye few all the time and also I like how the terrain changes with the slopes so add depth. And of course, the cinematics in the game are amazing - we have to give some credit to activision for that I guess. Blizzard couldn't have done it by themselves.

However, I don't like how corny some of the units sound. For example, the battlecruiser sounds like a whimp like he's unsure or something. Compared to the original SC, the battlecruiser was a boss. End of story. Hands down. Seige tanks too. The new one seems to have toned their attitudes down. And I was expecting more than just as Yamato Cannon from the cruiser as well. They need to have additional add-ons for the cruiser if you're gonna ask for 400 Mineral and 300 gold.

But hey, that's just me.

Anyways, Starcraft 2 has officially burned the video-card fan off my video-card. There's a big rant about it with their software of SC2 that pushes the video-card beyond it's natural limit and a lot of folks are now out of a video card. Happens to be that I'm one of them. Hopefully they fix it with the next patch or something. In any event SC2 is a very hardware-demanding game. I ended up under-clocking both the memory and core clock speeds and upped the fan settings and still fried. Had like 2 or 3 burnt capacitors and the load temp on the card was well into the 80 degree Celsius when I checked.

But I guess that's a good thing since I can now have more time to study for the GMAT's haha. Sent it out today for warranty repair through eVga. Those guys are awesome. On the website it actually recommends SC2 with high resolution play to add a PCI slot cooler just for adequate cooling of the video cards since apparently the factory one isn't enough. So that's my 2 cents for anyone that wants to play SC2 with all the bells and whistles. Get a beastly video card. Have ample cooling. And have a PCI slot cooler running as well.

I'll probably just continue this thread when my card comes back from warranty repair and when the cooler comes just so that future GMAT club members interested can take heed of my advice =) I'll have pics. Plenty of pics of the new video card and cooling setup. Maybe a new wire tuck/management for a more "clean" look.

Dawgie was right, maybe water-cooling was the way to go haha.
