Hi frisak,

Many GMATers are unhappy with their initial practice scores, but you really shouldn't be. This 370 is just a measure of your skills right now - and you'll improve on that result over time as you learn more about the content, Tactics and little 'secrets' of the Exam. That having been said, many GMATers spend 3 months (or more) of consistent study time before they hit their 'peak' scores - and since a 700 is approximately the 90th percentile overall, you will have to put in some significant time and effort to get to the point that you can consistently score at that higher level (which might very well require a longer study timeframe).

A September Test Date would give you lots of potential study time, but you need to be focused on learning all of the necessary Quant and Verbal Tactics (along with all of the standard content knowledge), so working in an efficient way from the beginning would be a good idea.

Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on your timeline and your goals:

1) What study materials do you currently have access to?
2) When you say that you "need" a 680 for this special Program, does that mean that a 680 would guarantee you entry to that Program - or are there other requirements that you will also have to work on or conditions that have to be met?
3) What are the exact deadlines that you are facing?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,

Hi frisak,
Without studying, you have secured a score reflecting your ability that you are good at verbal and need to work for quant. You have got a good timeframe. If you choose materials wisely and focus on studying properly, you can secure your aspired score.
Good Luck!
