After reading the word problem carefully, we know the final charge is:
19.99*4 + 0.55*100
= (20-0.01)*4 + 55
= 80+55-0.04
= 135-0.04
The answer is thus (E).

Why is it 19.99 * 4? Shouldn't it be 19.99*3.33?
