Hi everyone,

I started 2-3 weeks ago to go through the study program provided by TTP. However, I encountered first issues.

Issue 1: The study time

I entered the hours I am available for each day so TTP spit out a plan. However, I think it is HIGHLY unrealistic to stick to those hours as you sometimes need more time to understand things, so I end up studying 7 hours instead of 5. Am I the only one or is there anyone else who has this issue?

Issue 2: Putting what I learned to work

I go through each chapter and take a lot of notes, and I almost get every concept mastery questions or test question within the chapter correct. However, when it comes to taking the easy, medium, and hard test at the very end, I tend to fail each and every single one of them. I do really good during the chapters and then fail... I do not know why and I am wondering if it is the same for you? Do you guys retake the tests?
I started to re-do the tests now to hit the accuracy goal and I hope this will help me.

Issue 3: Some questions are just insanely hard for me

I just went through the medium linear and quadratic equations test and I encountered a question that was insanely hard and I would have never been able to get to the solution. I was wondering if some medium questions are actually harder than medium?

I have until end of January to study and I need a 650+. I have not taken the GMAT before because I knew I will have to go through all of the material. I can tell what my strengths are but I can also tell that I need to rework some of the things which is normal I guess.

I would really appreciate every tip you guys have for me. I think in general it is a good course, but I feel lost sometimes and wish there would be video explanations for the test answers.

Issue 1: Its fine to do it at one's own pace, there is no issue in that and you should not be worried about taking it at your own pace either because understanding is more important than finishing in the stated time

Issue 2: Please have a look where exactly are you going wrong in a question and the concept that it is linked to, go again and revise the same concept and attempt the question again. If you are on a timer, let go of it at the moment and concentrate on accuracy before timing

Issue 3: It takes time at the beginning, buy my advice as point 2 will be the same, re-read and understand the concept behind each question and take your time attempting it. The confidence you get after getting a right answer, irrespective of time at the moment, will boost your speed with time as well

Thanks, hope it helps.

Yeah, I am getting on my limits right now with how much a day I can study. Today is a complete disaster, I could not focus at all, so I need to take a break. I hope that I can get back with more energy to go through TTP...

Consider purchasing all the Official Mocks through the mba website. Save at least one in case you decide to retake your exam for any reason. You may hit your target score but feel you can aim higher with a bit more prep.

All the best with your prep journey. Some quick Quant and Verbal tips on the gmatknight website.

The journey is hard with TTP I agree , but the destination is the absolute top way above the clouds where you have the M7 letter in your hand and God Marty ( I wuv you MartyTargetTestPrep ; no homo) telling you - I told you so, now buy me a beer when you get that 6 figure pay check.

Keep up!
