Hello everyone,
my CR score has been constant at 50% in all mocks. How can i improve my CR score?
i have done the following:
CR bible
magoosh
gmat club

Critical Reasoning is a decision making process, which involves multiple things in background, be it assumption, inference etc. It takes time to improve.

There can be multiple method to master this skill.
1. Start with lowest level(500-600) possible https://gmatclub.com/forum/critical-rea ... GN8dRl6Uzs
2. Start with lowest level with specific question type https://gmatclub.com/forum/critical-rea ... 28861.html
Usually Main Point, Must be true, Inference first then Strengthen Weaken then evaluate Bold Face etc should be done, but it is your choice where to start from.
3. Or any other filter which suits best to hone first.

Other than that, there are three different parts on which we have to work simultaneously while improving the skills
1. Stimulus & Argument
2. Question Type
3. Answer Choice
Comprehending each of them will help us to reach answer easily.

In Stimulus & Argument, we must know which clause or sentence is performing what part in the argument. Be it background information, evidence, conclusion, facts etc. If there is any conclusion in the sentence, we exactly know that it is the one.

If we practice 10-15 questions a day, for a month or two, we can see change in our performance.

* Whether our answers are correct or incorrect, always read others comment. It helps to develop a circumspect view. We may be viewing the options or argument in other way, whereas another person's view is different. That's all.

Hi kartikdesai14,

Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied? How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) Have you used any other study materials besides the ones that you mentioned? What “brands” of CATs/mocks have you used?
3) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score?
5) Are you still planning to take the GMAT in mid-December?
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

Have suggested Manhattan-Prep's 6th Edition for CR to students. Perhaps working with a study buddy with strong Verbal skills may also be helpful. Slowly reviewing questions to see why the correct answer choice was correct and why the others were incorrect may also pay dividends in future questions.
