(1) The total savings Barbara had was $4,000. Not sufficient no information of the compound interest x%
(2) The total interest earned from the two investment in the first year =$500. Not sufficient no information of the compound interest x%
Even if we combine both the statements, we will not get value of x% , which is important to get the answer
