A is the correct answer.
The argument in A is flawed because the non-existence of centaurs does not necessarily mean that unicorns do not exist. The belief in unicorns could still be valid regardless of whether centaurs exist or not. Therefore, the conclusion that believing in unicorns is false because of the non-existence of centaurs is flawed.
Similarly, the argument in the original passage is flawed because the non-existence of UFOs does not necessarily mean that extraterrestrial life does not exist. The belief in extraterrestrial life could still be valid regardless of whether UFOs exist or not. Therefore, the conclusion that believing in extraterrestrial life is false because of the non-existence of UFOs is flawed.
