Hello,
I recently took my first GMAT and received an overall score of 760 (Q51/V40, IR 7), but unfortunately, I only got a 4.0 in the AWA section. Since I am a non-native English speaker and I am aspiring to get into top business schools such as Harvard, Stanford, and Wharton, I was wondering if my low AWA score would negatively affect my chances of admission.
I would highly value inputs from admission experts to know whether I should retake the exam to enhance my chances of getting into these elite schools. Thank you.

Wow. Fantastic score and a great job!
You do not need to retake or worry about the AWA score for 2 reasons:
1) we asked AdCom 2 years ago and they basically said IR and AWA are not considered. We have it on video.
2) AWA is being completely removed in the next iteration of the GMAT format so it’s clearly not some thing admissions care.
PS. My guess you did not find the post about getting AWA 6.0 score in one day? 😬
