Hi Rishi.

For some ideas regarding what could have caused your score to be lower than your practice test scores and what to do to score higher, see this post.

You should retake when you are ready AFTER having worked on your improvement areas. You are in college still; so why the rush to take the exam again? Take your time to prepare and prepare well. I presume you are practicing in simulated conditions i.e. not using pen / paper and instead taking tests with marker pens / laminated sheets, etc.

I agree, unless you need the score this fall and you need to apply for Masters.
In that case, I would push for 10 days and take before you go back to school. Chances are you can improve your score meaningfully and even if it does not move, you won't have regrets but ONLY if you need it this fall. Otherwise, if you have more time, you can wait.
