Hi,

I am now studying GMAT on TTP on demand platform, and wondering wether it is worth skip SC and geomentry and prepare for Focus edition? I want to apply to MBA in R2.

Thanks.
Hi xtraderuz,

You could consider taking both the GMAT and the GMAT Focus Edition. More importantly, are you sure you want to skip R1?

You will have to deal with integrated reasoning. How do you perform right now on that section?

for IR, you don’t need to study much but it’s more annoying to improve in my humble opinion…

I guess you can wait but then you’ll have to review all the material you’ve already covered unless you have not cover the whole lot… on the other hand you can cover everything besides Simpson correction and geometry and it’s in the worst case if GMAT focus is not available in Q4 in his late for some reason, you can at least take the regular test.

Keep in mind that at least one business school, Harvard specifically said they will not take GMAT focus results. I have not seen anyone else following them. I’m not sure I expect either but fyi.

Thank you to all for replies,

It seems better to focus on current version. The reason I want to apply to R2 is I need to take GMAT first, and with my current pace(work and family) I am going slowly, but want to give a final push and take an exam in late August. Therefore, I won't have a time for essays and recommendations.

If you have a busy life/work schedule, study early in the morning while you are fresh (before work) may be more effective than, for example, forcing yourself in the evenings.
