Hello,
I am planning to apply to full-time MBA programs this year. I would like to get a profile review to understand how strong it looks for the schools that I am targeting. Also, can I expect a scholarship in any of my target schools with this profile? Open to any other suggestions that you may have.
Demographics: Indian Male Engineer
Age: 25 years
GMAT: 720 (Q51, V35, IR7)
Bachelors: B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering
GPA: 8.68/10
College-specific Question - Failed in 1 course and had to repeat it, but later cleared that with an A grade. Should I bother writing the additional essay for this?
Work Experience: 4 years
Current company: Cisco
Current Role: Business Analyst
Extracurriculars:
- Volunteered with an NGO that helps teach English to government school children
- Core team member of a disability awareness network in my company (conducted various giving-back events and awareness sessions)
Schools that I am planning to apply to (not finalized - open to suggestions based on profile):
India: ISB/IIM-A
UK: LBS/Said/Judge
US: UCLA/Duke/Emory/Scheller/Tepper/Carlson

A: Yes, you can. Be brief and delicate in your explanation.

A: Overall, good profile. You check many boxes for admission to some good schools. The UK schools might be a little tough - those are top programs and I think they'll be in the "reach" category. The US schools feel very appropriate. If you are interested in Duke, you should consider their EA/ED option early this year. That will maximize your chances.
