Conclusiong --> Promoting Usage of bicycle over car will reduce pollution
Which of the following, if true, most seriously weakens the argument above?
(A) Other cities have successfully implemented similar initiatives to promote bicycle use.
Incorrect. This strengthens by saying the plan works/may work.
(B) Lakeville has a temperate climate that is ideal for outdoor activities like bicycling.
Incorrect. Again strengthens by giving another reason why bicycling promotion can work.
(C) The bicycle maintenance services will be funded through a slight increase in local taxes.
Incorrect. Does not hurt the conclusion.. There may be increase in tax but does not tell why it will NOT help reduce pollution.
(D) A significant proportion of Lakeville's air pollution is caused by industrial factories, not car emissions.
