Dear Forum,

I recently took the GRE (from Kaplan) and GMAT (from Manhattan) full practice test and below were my scores:
GRE: Q142 + V146
GMAT: Q27 + V26 (total was 450)

I have never practised for both tests and graduated from uni in 2019. I want to take either test by OCTOBER, and I wanted to advise on which you think I should do based on my practise score and will give me the best chance to significantly get a high score by October.

Thank you.
As far as I know, GRE quant is easier than GMAT quant. I don't have any idea about GRE verbal.

There is not very big difference between them. Study GMAT and take a mock again in both. Then choose one.

If you want MBA, choose GMAT. If you want Master in Arts GRE is preferable

Hi PreppingforMBA,

Your scores are actually pretty similar, so I would take the test that you felt better about. Also, a bigger concern is your timeline. Although I'm not certain of your score goal, you may need more time than just 6 weeks to prepare for either the GMAT or GRE fully.

Hello Scott, the plan is to score 164 both in the quants and qualitative tests of the GRE. I understand that 6 weeks might be a very short time to make a change but what would you advise?
