Very interesting situation.... I am dyslexic a bit so I had to doublecheck my 570 vs 750 but thankfully I got a print out at the test center.
My guess is perhaps the numbers just played with your mind and stress took over OR the system just displayed the numbers in the wrong sequence and the display error kicked in due to some unknown reason.... but I have never ever heard of anything like that happening. Usually test scores are quite ironclad with very few minor revisions in some edge cases. I can remember exactly 1.
However, coincidentally...
Q47, V39 usually maps to 700
V47, Q39 usually maps to 700
So the score seems would have been the same either way

I distinctively remember getting a 47 Verbal and 39 Quantitative on my unofficial report at the end of the online test because it was very much in line with what I was getting on the 6 official practice tests. Right after getting the unofficial score, I sent a score update to one of my school saying I got 47V and 39Q so I am quite sure I did not misremember. Moreover, I only had 3 weeks to study for GMAT Quant since I was supposed to take the GRE and as the result, I choked during the quantitative portion on test day.
And yet today I got my official score which shows 47Q and 39V. I don't want to raise concern with GMAC because I'm already late in sending score to one of my schools for Round 1 and cannot risk further delay, especially when my composite score is still the same. Anyone has similar experience?
