Hi guys,
I just have a question for you. I applied to a B-School in UK yesterday, which is my 1st to3rd favorite and it looks very positive. It would almost be my first choice. But I also applied to UCLA and Columbia with a GMAT of 620 now in Round 3, even though chances are low that I get in. I grew up in Turkey and I moved to Germany to study (RWTH Aachen, one of the best technical universities worldwide) , when I was 18 and have been living there since 10 years. I have a unique background and a good story, but I still think that with a GMAT score of 620 in Round 3, where there are few places, UCLA and Columbia are highly unlikely. But I am of course still curious about the outcome of the applications, since there is still a possibility. But the issue is that on the website of the B-School in UK that the process until admission takes 4 to 6 Weeks, which is basically March. But Columbia and UCLA will start reviewing Round 3 applications in April and will send out decisions in May! So I would never want to lose my place at the B-School in UK, but still I will be curious about my applications at Columbia and UCLA and I would be very angry, if I would get accepted and not go. I think this is a standard question in Applications, but how do people cope with this? I don't mind losing money, can you hold your place through deposits? I mean we might even talk about 2 months difference here. Thanks a lot in advance for the help and I really appreciate it.
