Will old gmat ever come back ?

Hello members ,
I am member 
for a long time but was not active on gmat club for a while .And now as I arrived here again ,I can see the old gmat has been phased out and now iam very stressed.i along with many others are preparing for this exam for many years .I have put hundreds of hours perfecting sc ,data sufficiency, geometry rules etc and now I see the format has been changed and new things are added.i am student with disability so it takes long time for me to learn any thing as it is the case with many disabled students and now with data interpretation it will take many more hours to learn this and I am not sure I will be able to learn this new format as I would require lots of time and can't afford it now as studying new format would mean I have to spend many on acquiring new resources and it is not possible for someone like me who has lost his job.Can tutors and veterans advice me How should I go about it now ? I used to score 710 to 720 in official GMAT mocks in past wanted to score .Also ,it's a humble request to gmac from hundreds of students like me to please bring back the old GMAT ASAP and allow students a choice.i know gmac did it for the reasons solely based on the compulsion of competition but in my opinion giving students a choice is always healthy and fair.

Checking out some of the debriefs by people who went from the previous GMAT to the Focus could be helpful. You could also leverage the Starter Kit + two free official-focus mocks on the MBA website. Perhaps include working with a study buddy into your prep. If you can find someone with the opposite strengths/weaknesses, that could be a good fit (there's a study buddy thread on gmatclub you could check out/sign up to).

The probability of the classic GMAT coming back is basically zero.

However, you could still use the skills you developed to take the EA if your target programs accept that test.

On another note, have you taken a Focus Edition practice test? If not, you may find that your current level is not too far from your goal.

Yes ,i have given official test and i have received the scores and iam surprised that despite scoring almost 100 centile in verbaland data sufficiency i have received a very weird score,i will be posting on the new post and will tag you sir there.

As others have said, do a bit of warm up on GMAT problem sets, then take a Focus Edition practice test.

Here's the good news:
1. They taken out some conceptual areas but haven't really added any new concept study areas.
2. The test is now more about solving approach, reasoning skills and executive decision making skills.

Both of those things make your GMAT prep more valuable by building skills that are useful in an MBA program and beyond.
