the product of f and w will be constant

hence, f1*w1 = f2*w2

substituting values, we get
260 * 4 = 390 * w2

1040 = 390 * w2

w2 = 1040 / 390

w2 = 2.67 feet

When we see the word constant we immediately know:

Middle C tone = Middle G tone

Middle tone = (f)(w)
f = frequency
w = wavelength

Middle C tone = Middle G tone

f1 = frequency Middle C tone = 260
w1 = wavelength Middle C tone = 4
f2 = frequency Middle G tone = 390
w2 = wavelength Middle G tone = ?

(f1)(w1) = (f2)(w2)

(260)(4) = (390)(w2)
1040 / 390 = w2
~2.67 = w2

Correct Answer is A.
