Total economist who join investment = 360
stock = 0,75 x 360 = 270
bond = 0,4 X 360 = 144
Not doing investment = 0,15 x 360 = 54
Total sample of economist - economist who not doing investment = Total economist who join investment
360 - 54 = 306
Based on this formula S∪B=S+B−S∩B
investments in either stocks or bonds or both = investments in stocks + investments in bonds - iInvestment in both
306 = 270 + 144 - Investment in both
Investment in both = 108
as we just wanna find only investment in stock so,
270 - 108 = 162 ( D )
stock = 0,75 x 360 = 270
bond = 0,4 X 360 = 144
Not doing investment = 0,15 x 360 = 54
Total sample of economist - economist who not doing investment = Total economist who join investment
360 - 54 = 306
