Hi everyone
This Monday (16th) morning I finally had my GMAT, for which I have been preparing for a few hundred hours; however, the coordinators at the center said that my middle name IS NOT INCLUDED on my passport!! I was not allowed to give the exam
I even showed the rules of the Pearson Vue ID policy, available on the internet (https://home.pearsonvue.com/policies/gmac) clearly stipulate that only the First and Last name must match. I am lost guys!
In India, we don't really have this policy of middle names on passports? And moreover, while I was making my registration ID, it did not match my passport, so I made a new one with my work email, and this one? THis one just directly found my middle name without me entering it. I saw the pearson policy and thought ok, this seems to not be a problem. As suggested by someone on the GMAT Forum Chat, I immediately mailed them but it has been more than 48hours now.
I need not overemphasize the magnitude of the frustration it is causing me, I imagine anybody who has prepared an exam for so long can empathize with me...
What do you recommend me to do guys? Can I expect to not give another 250$?

If you want to change your name, you'll need to contact GMAC. Consider checking out the About Profile Updates and Changes page on the MBA website when you can.

Yes, this is super frustrating to have to wait and not be able to take the test. Their site was down today for maintenance so lots of people also got their tests disrupted it seems.
Unfortunately with names and documentation GMAT does not usually provide free retakes. Sorry to be the bad news bearer.
This is pretty annoying. However, besides some disappointment with the process and $250, no other damage is done, you can schedule another appointment (after updating your name) and focus on the test and take it as calmly as you can, one question at a time.
