and...another for kellogg.

kellogg certainly has a very strong ibanking/finance contingent. stern is a great school, but kellogg is better :P

ok i'm biased because that's where i'm going, but here's a somewhat off the wall point. i'm on the stern recruiting team for my company. i haven't been bowled over by the candidate pool, whereas when i visited kellogg back in january, i certainly was.

admittedly n=1, but you asked for opinions :)

Oh and if you are single, Kellogg is the only logical choice. For reasons I dont understand, the adcoms seem to know how to pick guys that have a maximum waist size of 32, and the girls never exceed a size 2.
One professor even said to me once : "This is where girls who realize they cant be models forever come." Seriously, its an abercrombie and fitch ad there 24x7.

Hehe nice one...

I'm in love with kellogg, and am skyed to get into the MMM program...

Didn't know that kellogg girls were such lookers, I guess it makes me feel better about my MIF LFM ding.....

Wanted to throw this lil question out there though. Why do you guys think that the Kellogg yield is not as high as Harvard's or Wharton's?

I've heard people say that it may be due to location, presitge, or preverance for a generalist MBA. Your thoughts.

If you get into H/S/W, it's almost an automatic decision for most people to go there, mostly for "prestige" and placement reasons. If you get into Kellogg, you might be inclined to pick another school for any of the reasons that you mentioned.

Huh the votes been overwhelmingly in favour of Kellogg. I though Kellogg Vs NYU for finance would be much closer.

Dont you think he would find it hard to shed Kellogg's "marketing only" reputation? Isnt NYU better in that respect??
No offence meant to Kellogg. Just that I thought NYU would suit this person better.

Kellogg actually has more finance majors than marketing majors. It's been that way for many many years. They do just fine in IB/finance recruiting.

Hmm may be.
Probably Kellogg's unprecedented Numero Uno status in marketing makes it difficult for them to project their other strengths.

At Stern, for class of 2014 28% got full-time jobs in consulting compared to 27% in banking. As Stern does not reveal exact number of students placed in each company does anyone have any idea about the management consulting recruitment at Stern in the last few years? Are they getting better at Consulting? Thanks.
