Just meditate and try focus-building exercises. It's a habit that you can develop slowly with determination. No shortcuts. :)

I would remove the distractions (turn off phone, notifications, etc) so you can't be distracted.
Try studying in another place, such as coming in early to work, etc. Maybe study in a car or park or a place that is a different setting to see if that would make you less distracted.

How do folks maintain focus? I find myself losing focus a few minutes into studying, which messes up my entire Verbal section.

This literally happened with me too. I took my first mock 2 days ago. And the Verbal section bored the hell out of me and I wasn't able to concentrate on the questions. DI and Quant felt pretty awesome tho.

Let me know if anything worked for you.

Interestingly, boredom can sometimes come from a lack of clear goals and milestones. As you’re working through verbal, try to work each section with specific improvements in mind.

Breaking free of just a practice problem cycle can also be helpful. Happy to discuss that with you further if you’re interested.
