I have not yet been accepted to LBS, but if I am, I will need to decide immediately whether to decline my offer from Imperial College. That’s why I’m considering my options in advance, though there’s a chance I may not get accepted in the end.
I'm very happy with the Master's program I’ve received at Imperial, but I’m unsure if LBS might be the better choice if the opportunity arises. My plan is to return to my country to scale and innovate within my family business, so I want to choose the more recognized and well-rounded degree. After speaking with alumni, I’ve gotten the impression that Imperial leans more toward theory than practice.
Please, all advice is appreciated.

LBS is a far bigger name, globally and in your country as well. I don't think you should think twice about going there (if you do get in, that is). It will also give you a terrific network that will come in very handy as you scale your family business in future - fund raising, partnerships, the works.

Both programs are strong, but LBS MiM holds a stronger global brand in management education, particularly for networking and career support. If your goal is to scale your family business, LBS offers broader business exposure, a strong alumni network, and a reputation that may carry more weight internationally. Imperial’s MSc Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Management is more specialized and could be beneficial for innovation-driven strategies, but if practical learning and business leadership skills are your priority, LBS may be the better choice. Consider where you’ll gain the most relevant skills and connections for your long-term vision.
