Thank you, bb, for the great advice! 😊 Will try these tips to improve verbal timing. 📚💡

bb
Improving verbal timing is hard but you may not need to. I would say that you need to keep the pace and guess as you go instead of accumulating a bunch of time debt by the end of your test and then rushing through the last 4 questions.

My suggestion would be for you to read as many books as possible in the evenings instead of TV/YouTube or Instagram. Also try to get faster on the CR by trying to answer it in your own words and see if that speeds it up - I found it save a ton of time on easy and medium questions.

Hi noahlee13,

I'm glad to hear you're planning to use TTP—I think it'll be a great fit! The key is to follow the study plan closely, completing all tasks exactly as outlined and in the recommended order. With that in mind, do you have any questions about how to move forward with your prep? Feel free to also reach out to us on live chat. Let's get it done!

Verbal: 13 incorrect (ran out of time on the last 4 questions)
Hi noahlee13,

This may not be too helpful, but did you leave the last 4 questions, or did you guess on those questions?

Hi Aji, I knew I was screwed up on time, so I randomly answered the last 4 questions and couldn't beat the odds... I got them all wrong

Hi, thanks for the tips! I also got advice from a friend of mine to skip some RC questions that are too long, and I feel hard to read through or get the right answers

Thank you for the great tips! Do you know any resources to take the practice test aside from GMAC? I already took 4, so I want to save 2 for the last 2 weeks before the next exam.

Improving from 575 to 655 in a month is achievable with focused effort. Since Verbal is your weakest area, prioritize timing strategies. Start by practicing timed sets with TTP, ensuring you complete all questions. Focus on CR, as these can be improved faster than RC. Learn to identify trap answers efficiently.

For DI, review question patterns and avoid overanalyzing. Given your strong Quant, maintain accuracy rather than speed. Take mock tests weekly to track progress. Lastly, ensure stamina with full-length practice. Small daily improvements will add up. You can do it!

That's unlucky, but you did the right thing.

Most people are able to take each official practice test twice, so you could actually retake some of the official tests.
