The 23-24 guides are a good start, but the 24-25 guides have about 150 new questions, especially in DI, which is critical since those question types like MSR aren’t in the book. The online question bank is a must for realistic practice. I’d say get the new guides to align with GMAT Ninja’s plan.

I aced my GMAT with just free resources! Used GMAT Club’s question bank and forums for DI practice—tons of free mocks there. Your 23-24 guides are fine for basics, but the online bank helps with adaptive practice. If budget’s tight, skip the 24-25 and focus on free tools. You got this!

Don’t stress too much about the guides! I used 23-24 and still scored well by supplementing with e-GMAT for DI—they have great mock tests. The 24-25 guides add new questions, but the core concepts haven’t changed. Save money if you can and focus on practice with what you have!

Don’t think you should. There are only a handful new questions.

I would wait 3 weeks and wait for the Official Guide 2025-2026 to come out to see if it is more valuable. But likely even the 25-26 won’t be worth the extra $$.

Would instead buy the skinny OG’s for Q, V, and DI or GMAT Prep tests.

Hi Cinchana,

Regarding the official guides, you can stick with the 2023-2024 version; however, you may need additional, more robust resources for your prep outside of your current materials.
