They do the dirty work of tackling opponent to win the ball, keep possession of the ball, dictate the tempo of the game, and build up goal scoring opportunities. These tasks are vital for a team to win matches at the highest level. Yet, casual viewers rarely know midfielders. On the contrary casual viewers easily recognize strikers. Clearly, casual viewers appreciate the strikers ability to score goals more than midfielders ability to create chances.
Football analyst : I disagree with you. The abilities of strikers and midfielders have nothing to do with their respective popularities. Casual viewers appreciate everything they see.

D should be the logically correct answer here as it logically provides a reason for why the opinion of casual viewers is skewed toward strikers as they mostly only see the strikers making goals through the highlights whereas the mid-fielders do not get exposed as much due to the nature highlights.
