665 is a nice score for the first attempt. What were your sectional scores?

All the best on your retake. Keeping an error-log to track/isolate where your weaker subtopics are (e.g. CR assumption questions) and situations you may make repeated careless errors on may help a bit. For RC, becoming familiar with how inference questions work may help a bit. If you feel your fundamentals are solid, consider working on your solving approach. May help a boost your score a bit. Perhaps include working with a study buddy. If, for example, you can find someone who is really strong on Verbal (or DI), you could offer to help with Quant which you got a Q90 on.

How to score high on GMAT Verbal.
