A student of poetry is experimenting with the cut-up technique, using a print copy of a 56-word poem that is cut with scissors into 56 pieces, each containing exactly one word of the poem. A new text of 56 words is then constructed using the words on the pieces in the order in which they are randomly drawn from a box. Of the 56 words of the original poem, exactly 14 are nouns and exactly 11 are verbs.

This is a fairly easy probability question.
The probability that the first word is a noun is nouns/total = 14/56 = 1/4.
And the probability that the first word is a noun and the second word is a verb is 14/56 * 11/55 = 1/20.
