to find the amount of commission we would need 2 things, the commission rate or any other factor that would determine it, and the total amount of sale.
1) commission rate = 2%
not sufficient
2) last week's sales = previous week sales + 500$
not sufficient
both statements combined: not sufficient, as we don't know what the amount of sales last week.

We need to find out the commission of sales clerk:
Option 1:
2% commission of weekly sales. Don't know about weekly sales. So not sufficient
Option 2:
last week sales was 500 more than previous week but we don't know about that sales. So not sufficient
Even both together does not give the total sales of this week or previous week. Hence it should not be sufficient (Option E)
