Jamie parked her car at a garage yesterday, the amount paid was $4.75.
We need to find the number of hours Jamie has parked the car.
Statement 1:
(1) Parking charges at the garage are $1.00 for the first hour and $0.75 for each additional hour or fraction of the hour.
Total charges = charges for the First hour + $0.75 * ( number of subsequent hours)
If the number of hours is N, then the equation becomes
$4.75 = 1 * $1 + (N-1) * $0.75
$ 3.75 = (N-1) * $0.75
(N-1) = $3.75 / $0.75
N-1 = 5
N = 6
Hence, Sufficient
Statement 2:
(2) If the charge for the first hour had been $1.25 Sue's total parking charge would have been $5.00
The charges mentioned is for Sue. We need to find for Jamie.
Hence, Insufficient

It may be 1 hour 10 min or 1 hour 30 min, then also they will charge 1.75, then we do not come to know how long he was there.then how can we sure about how many hours or how many hours and min?
