For the first two months of using the GMAT Club website, I was completely focused on solving questions, reading forum discussions, and checking explanations. The platform was incredibly helpful, and I gradually made it a part of my daily preparation routine. By the fourth month, I was using it almost every day — attempting practice questions, tracking my progress, and exploring different sections.
However, even after four months of consistent usage, I had no clear idea that I was earning points — or how those points could be used to access
GMAT Club tests. I only discovered this feature much later, almost by accident. Until then, the entire points system felt invisible to me. There was no strong prompt, no clear call-to-action, and no obvious explanation of how the points worked or why they were valuable.
Looking back, I feel this is something that should be much clearer and more visible on the site. If the points system and its benefits were highlighted better — perhaps with a dashboard notification, a progress bar, or a simple onboarding explanation — users like me could start leveraging it much earlier in their preparation. It’s a powerful feature, but it needs stronger visibility so users can fully benefit from it from the beginning.
