What you're describing — solid mock scores but underperforming at the test center — is actually a pattern I've seen a lot, and it usually comes down to one thing: your mock environment isn't stressful enough to trigger the same cognitive load. The real test center does something specific to your DI section: the combination of noise, unfamiliar screen brightness, and the knowledge that this is real tends to make people rush through the reading phase and then stall on the questions. What helped me most was treating the 2-minute reading phase of Multi-Source Reasoning as absolutely non-negotiable — even when anxious, even when I felt behind. Anxiety makes you want to skim and compensate later; that's exactly backwards in DI.

For the next 10 days, I'd strongly recommend doing at least one full-length section under conditions that deliberately raise discomfort: a noisy café, a slightly unfamiliar device, a timer you can actually see. The goal isn't to simulate the test — it's to practice staying calm when conditions aren't ideal. Your ability is already there. You just need to trust it in an uncomfortable room.

Good luck on the retake — 10 days is more than enough with the right focus.

I have test center anxiety because even though I scored much over 715 725 etc. on my focus edition, official mocks I scored much lower on the exam and almost messed up the DI section entirely. I am planning to re-attempt within the next 10 days after some better prep. I was convinced I did not panic or have stress from the environment at the center, but it is very evident in both my attempts.
Any tips from fellow test takers on how to tackle this anxiety?
You're not alone. Many students have no trouble successfully answering practice questions, and completing practice tests at home, but on test day, their test anxiety significantly reduces their performance.

Some possible strategies to reduce test anxiety include exposure therapy (visualizing exam day situations that trigger your fear response), positive visualization, reducing negative self-talk, and turning anxiety into excitement. This article has several suggestions to reduce your anxiety: How to Eliminate GMAT Test-Day Anxiety

It's also worth mentioning that overcoming obstacles such as test anxiety is all part of the test. What's important is to develop the mindset necessary to gain insights from your weaknesses. Here’s an article that explains this in greater detail: How GMAT Students With a Growth Mindset See Their Mistakes
