Hi
temporeincidunt,
A few things that can help:
1. There is the online mode(which might make you feel less anxious), maybe you can think about it.
2. Meditation or practicing mindfulness helps greatly. (Helps you to be present and think of only the question on screen and nothing else)
3. Make yourself more comfortable with the testing environment or the time pressure by practicing timed sets or section or full-length mocks.
4. Have a process for question types. This could help you to calm your nerves, as you would have at least a process you could follow if the question feels too strange.
5. Also, sometimes anxiety could stem from unfamiliarity or fear with certain concepts/question types. You can analyze if it is so (and work on those areas) or if it is something else.
6. If you aren't using the 10-minute optional break, you could try it once. It can help greatly to rest from the previous section if it didn't go well, so that you can perform your next section better.
7. You could have, say, a 10-20 second mental check at certain points during each section to check with yourself if you are rushing, feeling anxious, or not focusing and thinking about the score. If so, you could reset yourself and continue.
8. Your section order also matters in this aspect. You could start with a section which your strong at, to ease into the exam and feel confident. Or you could start with your not-so-strong/weaker section to have more focus and get it done first. Whatever works for you.
P.S. Test center anxiety is more common than you think. Everybody feels anxious because it is just our body's response to the situation.
So, it all boils down to how well we can manage and handle it.
Hope this helps!
All the best!

I have test center anxiety because even though I scored much over 715 725 etc. on my focus edition, official mocks I scored much lower on the exam and almost messed up the DI section entirely. I am planning to re-attempt within the next 10 days after some better prep. I was convinced I did not panic or have stress from the environment at the center, but it is very evident in both my attempts.
Any tips from fellow test takers on how to tackle this anxiety?
