Let's say initial sales by C and H
C*(1+0.4)^6 = (2000%/100)*H*(1-0.3)^6
C(1.4)^6 = 20*H*(0.7)^6
H/C = 2^6/20 = 3.2
For first year,
(H/C)*(1/2) = 1.6
60%
The main takeaway here is to not solve 1.4^6 and 0.7^6 after the first look, just observe it and simplify it further.
(A) is the answer.

I understood till H/C = 3.2. However, since percentage increase is asked, wouldn't it be H-C/C *100, which would then be 3.2-1/1 *100 = 220percent? Making D the correct answer?
