Given:
2x = 7 − y
−15 − 2x = 3y
Substitute 2x = 7 − y into the second equation:
−15 − (7 − y) = 3y
−15 − 7 + y = 3y
−22 + y = 3y
−22 = 2y
y = −11
Now use 2x = 7 − y:
2x = 7 − (−11)
2x = 18
x = 9
Therefore,
xy = 9 × (−11) = −99
Answer: A. (-99)

2x = 7- y
-15-2x = 3y

we can put value of 2x from eq 1 to eq 2

-15- (7-y) = 3y
-15-7+y = 3y
-22 = 2y
y = -11

put value of your in eq 1

2x= 7 - (-11)= 2x = 18
x= 9

xy = (9) * (-11)=-99

option A

Bunuel

We can do it like:
2x = 7-y ---equation 1
and
-15-2x= 3y
2x= -15-3y ---equation 2
making eq 1 = eq 2
7-y = -15-3y
2y = -22
y= -11
putting value of y in eq 1
2x= 7- (-11) = 7+11 = 18
x = 9
Now,
xy= 9x -11 = -99
Hence, A
