I think the difficulty level of the questions is much greater.


No question about it, especially the quant questions, which are designed to take more time than typical GMAT quant questions (e.g. too many steps to get final answer, numbers too hard to crunch w/o a calculator, etc).
The RC and CR I think are not too bad. I'm not a fan of MGMAT's note taking techniques though.
