With regards to the tests: I though the MGMAT helped the most - best in range of question difficulty, answer explanations, variety of questions, tips/tricks. The Veritas tests were great for math, mediocre for verbal and had limited answer explanations (not helpful for someone like me). The 800score were fairly difficult for math (always ran out of time) and way too easy for verbal. The Arco was easier than MGMAT, Veritas and the actual test itself....

I didn't actually follow the MGMAT RC/CR technique - I was getting too caught up in taking notes and not being able to finish in time. I made sure to learn the grammar rules for all the SC questions from their practice tests - they seemed to be a good representation of common mistakes.

hope this helps!

Great score - very well balanced, too.

FYI, sonibubu - even the MGMAT instructors don't follow the RC and CR techniques outlined in the MGMAT Strategy Guides. They're far too time consuming for most test takers.

Did you actually follow MGMATs RC and CR techniques of taking notes? IMO they take up too much time, but i guess if you're a fast writer then you should be OK.

RC and CR are skills that take considerable time to hone. i doubt outlining a paragraph in 50 seconds will give a high return.

Hi there,

Congrats on ur score.

I wanted to know if it did help giving the veritas, 800 and arco test.
I too took veritas online course and got them along with them.

So, will it be worth my time just doing the veritas (5) , 800 (5) and arco (2)
along with GMATprep (2) before attemting the main GMAT.

I just have 3 weeks to go for the main test , so dont want to spend time looking for new stuff/material.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
