The average Gmat score required by the university is 595. Do you think I should retake it? Or try to focus on the essay part from now on? I feel very unconfident that I would score better If I retook it. I'm not sure if 630 is enough though.
What's the 20-80% GMAT range for your school?

I don't know exactly the Gmat score range, but I know someone who was admitted last year with the same score

No, I'm not a native speaker and i think that's way concentration played a key role in my low verbal. I started working on my essays but i'll keep studying in case I must retake it in a month.

Thank you all for your support and It feels good to be part of the Gmat clubbers family.

Essays? When/where do you plan on applying? Isn't it late/early?

On the bright side, you only have one place to go with the verbal. Just read, read, read, and read. Read every scholarly journal. Reading trickles down to readin comp (obviously), understanding the article helps you learn about arguing (CR) and repetition teaches you idioms (the most important aspect of SC for non native speakers).

Time permitting, I suggest you retake the gmat a little later (3+ months) and really kick a$$ on it.

I'm planning to apply at UCI and their last deadline is July 7th, but they told me they would review my application and make a decision as soon as they have everything. All my friends encouraged me to try and see what happens, so I started my application process.
