Hello Everyone,
Like everyone, I also gave my GMAT exam just a few days ago. I got a score of
600 (Q48, V24). And to be honest the score was not a shock to me because I was not doing well in verbal even in my mock exams.
I used to post my ques freq in this forum and also read people's gmat experiences. This would keep me motivated as I would also dream of joining the 700 club. Though I think I will but my first attempt has been too far from 700.
My quant score did come a little higher than expected which is good.

But my verbal score did all the damage. Though english isn't my native language but I have been using it since childhood. I love english movies and my speaking / writing skills are also fine.
I will give another shot after a month or so and need to increase my verbal score from twenties to forty or so. I need help or so from you guys as to how should I do about it. Inspite of my efforts in verbal my plan didnt work and i didnt do well.
Myths Busted (my views)-
I sometimes wonder if GMAT Prep is really close to actual gmat. I think GMAT Prep's english is but I aint sure about quant. In my gmat prep exam just two days before actual gmat I scored 530. And my test score from gmat prep's first test was 550. So I wondered if gmat prep is really accurate.
Moreover
MGMAT tests are great but I dont think they represent actual gmat as they are too time confusing. I found
MGMAT tougher than actual gmat. I also found Kaplan GMAT on the tougher side as well. I found kaplan's tests verbal easier than kaplan's quant.
I think OG 11th edition with kaplan 800 and princeton workbook is sufficient at least for the quant section. One should focus more on advanced topics like co-ordinate, P&C & probability.
Anyways I would be grateful if I can get valuable advice/info from you guys.
Thanks for reading this.
Good luck.
