Hi, everybody. I am an international student and applying for MBA 2010. Could anybody give me a comparation on Notre Dame, Emory and Georgetown?
For example, the location, reputation, campus, professors, alumni network, Strengths, weakneass, After graduation and etc. What do you think?

No idea about the b-school at NotreDame.

Between Emory and GT,both are good schools with great faculty.The class size of GT is big,so you would have a bigger alumni network to depend on.The location is a factor to consider,its warmer in Atlanta compared to DC.You have many F500 companies in ATL.Home Depot,Coca Cola,UPS to name a few.In DC,you find a lot of govt and international organisations,defence companies.Finally,it boils down to what you want to do post-MBA.

Thank you, Class 2012. I don't understand American's Business School Rankings. Does it represented something? It seems Americans prefer GT and Emory to Notre Dame, but Notre Dame actually ranks higher.

And if I want to do investment or finicance, which one has more advantages?

In general for US schools, you should stick to US News rankings of business schools. According to that, Georgetown is ahead of Emory and Emory is ahead of Notre Dame. What industry/function are you planning on getting into?

In general, it's more of a decision between Georgetown and Emory. Georgetown may have a stronger name internationally. It also is located in DC so if you want to be involved in any government-related job or with a company that interacts with the government, then that might be the better option.

Emory has a smaller class and in general spends more time placing each student in the right internship and job post-MBA.

DO NOT CHOOSE NOTRE DAME!!

Take it from a current student:-
a) The career services here is of no help at all. Especially not to international students.
b) The classes and professors are horrible. They like to make life hell for the student, and will be sure to stick it to you if you ever display the slightest hint of independence. The way to get a good grade here to is to suck up to them.
c) The students are too close-minded.

Please don't waste your time and $$ coming here. You will spend 2 years regretting the decision.

They say at Notre Dame "Tradition never graduates". Yeah it doesn't graduate, neither does it ever progress in life. But dont believe me-just look at why recruiters choose other schools vs ND. There is a good reason, one now understands.
