I need to make a decision between USC mathematical finance program and UIUC Econ master program.
I think the program in USC is more practical. However, when i check their website, they didn't post anything about job placement, and when I called them, the secretary say she doesn't know the statistic about placement, which make me kind of worried. Plus, LA isn't an ideal place for finance. anyone know about this program??
I think if i couldn't find a job, i just have to study a finance phd, otherwise i have to go back to China.
UIUC econ master program is more theoretical, My professor said UIUC provides better preparation for PHD program, because faculty there are better, and I can take PHD courses there. But there is no chance to find a job after this program since the program is not very practical, and location of UIUC is not good.
Which one i should take?? really need helpppppppp
