For the current student, how important is the on-campus interview?

If you live in the States: somehow important. If you are from another country: absolutely not expected. In both cases if they really like your profile they will find a way to have you interviewed (phone, alumn) even if you don't come on campus.
Does anyone know how much having two typos and 4-5 missed commas hurt the chances of admission?

It may if it comes down to you and another applicant with very similar profiles. Maybe they will give the other person an edge. But in reality, things like this happen. People get in with errors. Too many errors are bad, but too many is subjective.
@current students I am an international applicant and submitted EA app without an interview. I have not visited the campus either. I want to find when Tuck will start sending committee-initiated interview invites.

Depends, check previous years threads. As I remember it can come as soon as 1 week after the deadline or as late as 1 week before the decision. I'm not sure but I think that for me it took somewhere around 3 weeks and 1 month.
an update for the roll call - I already self-initiated and completed my interview on-campus at Hanover in time for the EA round. When I was on campus, during the info session, the adcom staff member who led it mentioned that they highly recommend applying during either the EA or Nov round. They receive most of their applications in the Jan. round. So, I would liken their EA and Nov. round to rd. 1 at most other schools, and Jan. would appear to be most like a rd. 2 at other schools. more applicants, and more competition for spots. hope this helps.
My app status is still showing 'Submitted'. Is it supposed to be showing 'Complete' by now? It also shows that they have received all components of my app -- gmat, recos etc
Add me in. I applied EA, interviewed on campus mid-September. Pursuing the joint MBA/MALD through Fletcher. Tuck is my first - and only - choice at this point. If I don't get in EA, then I'll probably apply to a few schools for their R2. Just countin' down the days...
