For Yale, I saw some place that Yale didn't want to be the typical usual b-school. Thus, Yale played around with various structures to make its program distinct. But I would suspect in the long term, Yale will be ranked top 10 consistently. I don't think folks at Yale will like the discrepancy in ranking between SOM and other Yale schools.

For Cornell, even though I went there as undergrad, I'm not sure why it's ranked below #10. A lot of people in Johnson go for real estate, and the companies that come to recruit are quite a lot. But you won't find that many HF/PE/VC in that list though. I don't think you will have a problem getting a usual post MBA job in banks, but will have one if you are aiming for Lone Star or Blackstone.
