The strangest thing about this sentence is that in my opinion each answer choice here must be wrong because which can not modify a phrase and in this case it looks like 19th century is remarkable...

OA D, but imo the problem is incorrectly constructed by Prinston. According to MGMAT all the answer choices with "which" modifiying a phrase would be condidered wrong
