(1) Dave’s average speed for the trip was 3/5 of Jack’s average speed.

(2) The length of the route is 720 miles.

They both traveled the same distance, which can be 1. Therefore, Jack's rate is 1/12.

1.) Dave's average speed was 3/5 of Jack's speed. Therefore, Jack's rate was 1/12 * 3/5 = 1/20. Therefore, Dave can make the trip in 20 hours. Sufficient.

2.) Does not tell us anything about Dave. Insufficient.
