I desperately need help to solve this problem.
Two cars on Crete left the towns of Knossos and Phaistos at the same time to drive to the other town, passing at Gortyns and travelling at different steady speeds.
The car from Knossos completed the journey from Gortyns to Phaistos in 45 minutes travelling at a speed of 64 km/h.
The car from Phaistos completed the journey from Gortyns to Knossos in 20 minutes.
Find the speed of the car from Phaistos.

It is 96 kmph.

Important point to note : Both the cars start at the same time and cross each other at Gortyns. => Time take for the car A to travel from Knossos to Gortyns is same as the time taken for car B to travel from Phaistos to Gortyns

K ---------------- G ---------------- P
- x/64*60 min -> ---- 45 min ---> : 64 km/h
<--- 20 min ---- <- 48/v*60 min - : v km/h

x/64*60 = 48/v * 60
<=> x/64 = 48/v
<=> xv = 48*64

x/v = 1/3 hour (20 min)
<=> 3x = v

x*v = x*3x = 3*x^2 = 48*64
<=> x^2 = 16*64 = 2^10
<=> x = 2^5 = 32

Thus v = 3x = 3*32 = 96
