Let the speeds of 2 cars be v mph and v+8 mph.

Distance traveled by these cars in 2 hours is 2v and 2(v+8)

So, 2v + 2(v+8) = 208
4v = 208 - 16 = 192
v = 48 mph

Avg Speed of fast car = v + 8 = 56 mph

2v+2(v+8) = 208
4v +16 =208
4v = 192
v = 48

And v+8 = 56i have solved it like this but have a query will the average will not remain same for both the cars.isnt it the speed that we have calculated.Can you please guide Bunuel

speed of A = x
speed of B = x+8
distance travelled in 2 hrs
2x+2x+16=208
4x=192
x=48
speed of B; 48+8;56
