Hi all,
I'm in an interesting situation here, wanting to do an MBA and trying to decide whether I should take the GMAT or retake the GRE.
My existing GRE scores will expire before I intend to apply for B-school.Quick background/profile info:
--> Undergrad GPA: 3.7 (engineering major, international school)
--> Grad GPA: 3.8 (engineering major, top 3 school, PhD program but dropped out with MS)
--> Working at a top tier management consulting firm
--> GRE: ~60th percentile for each section

--> Aiming for top 5 MBA school (I'll have 2 years experience when I'm 26)
So yes, my GRE scores are TERRIBLE. Due to lack of time & poor planning I studied probably for a total of 10 hours in cars and on planes and due to external factors was in a bit of a fluster on the day. Thankfully the rest of my application was good enough to get me into my dream grad school.
I've read the GMAT favours quant people (like me) which makes me think I should do it instead of the GRE - is that true? Also I'm thinking if I take the GMAT then I possibly won't have to disclose my embarrassing GRE scores? Any thoughts or opinions would be greatly appreciated

Thanks!
