I took a GMATPrep exam after studying for three weeks mainly focusing on Reading Comp and Critical Reasoning. My score reflected such which is as follows:
Total: 580
Quant: 22 wrong
Verbal: 13 wrong
Math: I have yet to study and I ended up running out of time with many questions left. I am not too worried because I have read through all but one of the mgmat books and I am sure that once I start practicing I will do much better.
Verbal: I got 1 reading comprehension question wrong and 2 critical reasoning (one of which I had to rush through because of time constraints). The remaining 10 questions were all sentence correction. I have been reading the mgmat book all week and can't say that I have seen an improvement. I will take the test on 5/7/2011 and based on my schedule have allocated one more week to Sentence Correction and Two weeks plus the weekends to Math.
Does anyone have any advice on Sentence Correction. I am more methodical so I am able to do some answer splitting narrow down to two or three answer choices but always end up picking the wrong one because I have been unable to apply the rules I read in the mgmat book. Oh and yes I am a native speaker. Does anyone have any tips on how I can improve on sentence correction?

Practice is the key for SC. So attempt as many SC questions as you can. You can also go through the SC forums of gmat club!! Apart from that, I think you should also try to devote your time to quantitative area.

I'd also revise each SC question, not only studying the correct answer choices, but also paying attention to all incorrect ones.
The Manhattan GMAT SC book is a must. I think you can also get its Kindle version and also obtain acces to Manhattan GMAT's tests and CATs.
