Accuracy while solving official guide problems

Question

Hi All,

Can you tell me what is the accuracy level we should be looking for while solving the OG.
I am sure each type of problem will have different accuracy level. 
Can someone share their right/wrong each section wise? Also is it advisable to solve in timed mode?

I am bit concern cause my accuracy with CR was good enough in the beginning of the section and almost fell to 50 % after 80 questions i.e. the HARD section of CR. I think thats very pathetic and I need rigorous practice.

Accuracy alone is worthless. You must consider difficulty along with accuracy as getting 100% on 500 level problems will not help you much in a path to break 700.

You can miss 30% of the problems on the GMAT and score a 700, you can also miss 30% of the problems and score a 500.

OG in in ascending difficulty order (easy -> hard).

I know this is not a good indicator of your score, but for whatever it is worth, I am getting around 78% +-5. I wonder what my accuracy is? Some days, I just want to study and not take the GMATprep, because it makes me nervous to know what my actual score is

It depends upon number of factors, before solving OG's have you ever referred to any strategy guide such as Kaplan premier or princeton review. Some people start directly with OG which is basically a question bank (I did the same mistake) and for them some question categories are completely unknown (cr and DS). I believe accuracy should be high for lower level OG question and medium for medium level and high level questions. I remember I did very badly at sc section while solving sc. You should not solve OG questions in timed mode, and if possible just give diagnostic test in og12 and then refer kaplan or any basic guide and then solve OG.
