For your quant section percentile improvement, I can suggest (though I am not yet that expert to suggest you!) you to try GMAT Club tests, MGMAT's Advanced Quant book, and/or Jeff Sackman's/GMAT Hack books. And, also explore the free discussion topics in the forums. There are plenty of 90+ percentile level questions.
Hope this helps!

is it realistic to shoot for 50/40

How much better would i have to do?

My study plan is just to read through kap 800

then burn through OG 11 and OG quant and OG verbal.
